Jim Kelleher is a teacher and ceramic maker based in Cork, Ireland.
Jim has worked with a wide range of media from performance art, digital media, graphic design and of course, ceramics. An Alumni of G.M.I.T in Sculpture, he went on to graduate with a BA Hons degree from the University of Ulster, majoring in Sculpture & Lens based Media.
He completed the Ceramics & Pottery Design Course with the Craft Council of Ireland in 2004. The thrown pottery he produced as part of that programme was functional ware with mottled stoneware glazes. While Jim continues to throw ware, it has now become more decorative in form.
He returned to education in 2008 to complete a Higher Diploma in Teacher Training for Art & Design and is now a full-time teacher in the Further Education sector. Jim has taught a wide range of components from Ceramics, Sculpture, Art Appreciation to Graphic Design and I.T.
