Jim Kelleher is a teacher and ceramic maker based in Cork, Ireland.
He has worked with a wide range of media from performance art, digital media, graphic design and of course, ceramics. An Alumni of the Atlantic Technical University, Galway in Sculpture, he went on to graduate with a BA Hons degree from the University of Ulster, majoring in Sculpture & Lens based Media.
Jim completed the Ceramics & Pottery Design course with the Craft Council of Ireland in 2004. The thrown pottery he produced as part of that programme was functional ware with mottled stoneware glazes. While Jim continues to throw ware, it has now become more decorative in form.
Completing a Higher Diploma in Teacher Training for Art & Design in the Crawford College of Art & Design, 2008; Jim is now a full-time teacher in the Further Education sector. He has taught a wide range of components from Ceramics, Sculpture, Art Appreciation to Graphic Design and I.T.
